EUDR Ready.
We carry the dossier.

The EU Deforestation Regulation (UE 2023/1115) enters enforcement on 30 December 2025 for operators and 30 June 2026 for small and micro traders. Every Maison Alti lot ships with a complete due diligence dossier so you can file your EU Due Diligence Statement from day one.

Six documents land with every container.

01 · Geolocated plot map

GPS polygons for every plot that contributed to the lot. GeoJSON format for the dossier, interactive map on the lot page. Hectares and plot count match the EU Information Reference System (TRACES NT).

02 · Deforestation screening

Each plot screened against the EU reference date of 31 December 2020. Status reported per plot: Clear, Under Review, or Non-compliant. Non-compliant plots are removed from the lot before dispatch.

03 · Due Diligence Statement reference

The DDS reference number issued to the operator who first placed the lot on the EU market. You use this reference when you file your own downstream DDS.

04 · Chain of custody

Producer → cooperative → mill → port → warehouse. Each hop documented with dates, bag counts, and operator identities. Issued in English and Spanish.

05 · Lab certificate

Independent laboratory analysis: moisture, water activity, defect count, screen size distribution. Sampled at origin and verified on landing at Le Havre.

06 · Certifications of origin

ICO certificate of origin, Organic Verified certificate when applicable, Rainforest Alliance where held. Documents issued by the authorized authority, not by us.

How we screen a lot.

Three verification layers, done at origin, before the container closes. We align with the EU Information System requirements (TRACES NT) and we document every step so your own compliance team can retrace it.

Last harvest screened: 2026-09-11 · Specialty line APROCAJER, Finca Jerusalén · 1 plot cleared, 0 under review.
A

Plot mapping on the ground

Walked by the cooperative technician with a GNSS device. GeoJSON polygons uploaded on return. We cross-check surface area against cadastral records when available.

B

Satellite screening against 31 Dec 2020

Each polygon is run against open Hansen/GLAD and TMF datasets. A plot flagged for tree-cover loss after the reference date triggers a field review before the lot can ship.

C

Chain-of-custody at the mill

Bag-level tagging at reception. The cooperative mill (COMSA, ECOCAFE, or APROCAJER own facility depending on origin) issues a signed receipt. We retain the full paper trail from parchment to green.

Five labels. Each one earned, not claimed.

Three dates on the European calendar.

2025-12-30
Enforcement for operators and large traders

First DDS filings required for coffee placed on the EU market. Importers and first-handler roasters are in scope.

2026-06-30
Enforcement for small and micro traders

Micro-roasters and small importers enter scope. Many Maison Alti roaster partners fall here. Our dossier covers both tiers.

Rolling
Per-harvest re-screening

Every new harvest triggers a new plot-level screening at origin. The dossier is reissued with the current date before the container closes. Next screening Q1 2027 for the 2026/2027 harvest.

Common questions on EUDR.

Who is the EU operator in our transactions?

Maison Alti acts as the first operator placing the lot on the EU market. We hold the primary DDS. You receive our DDS reference and file your downstream statement from it, which is lighter than filing a primary one.

What if a plot fails screening?

The plot is removed from the lot before dispatch. The lot volume is adjusted. We do not substitute silently. The compliance report names each plot and its status.

Do you cover forward contracts?

Yes. Forward contracts on the 2026/2027 harvest are screened in Q1 2027 before shipment. You book now, we deliver the dossier before dispatch. The contract makes the dossier a delivery condition.

What is the Information Reference System?

TRACES NT, hosted by the European Commission. Operators submit DDS data there. We format our dossier so the required fields can be lifted directly into TRACES.

Does the dossier cost extra?

No. It is included in every FOB price. We priced it into the catalog so you do not need to budget a separate compliance line.
